I saw you on the platform waiting for a train during morning rush. You were sitting on a bench nursing a Venti and leafing through a Metro Pages. I was standing just a few yards away trying to focus on my paperback. Tomorrow it’s my turn to distract you.
Wednesday, May 5I missed you this morning Venti. It’s my fault, I was running late. I did catch you on the way home, but you were distracted by a phone call. Who were you talking to that was so interesting you couldn’t even acknowledge me after I went out of my way to walk you to your car?
Thursday, May 6I headed out early this morning hoping we could make up for the other day, but after waiting through three trains I was late for work and had to give up on you Venti. No sign of you coming home either. I hope you aren’t avoiding me because you think I’m angry with you.
Friday, May 7I left work early and waited in the terminal parking garage so I could fix things between us Venti. By the time I spotted you it was too late. You were already getting into your car so I followed close behind all the way to your building. You were too far ahead and were in the door before I could catch up.
Weekend EditionI called out sick Friday to meet you outside your apartment first thing in the morning with a fresh cup of your regular. When I saw him leave it was like someone shot me in the chest. I thought you were different than the others Venti.
Monday, May 10I have thought this through and I’m not giving up on us Venti. I believe that fate put us together for a reason and no one can stand in the way of that. I know I can make him see that too.
Tuesday, May 11I was up all night practicing the confrontation, but after I said my piece he just stared at me like he had no idea who I was or what I was talking about. Can you believe it? That doesn’t matter now Venti, he is out of our lives for good. I can’t seem to get this stain out of my shirt though. I’ll drop it off at the cleaners on my way over tomorrow night.
Weekend Edition
I saw you at the cleaners Friday in China Town. You were dropping off a new dress with a splash of red wine, and I was picking up a shirt now free of any evidence of my recent breakup. They’re the best. I would know, it seems like I’m there all the time. Hopefully I’ll run into you again Red Wine.

Serial Rapist and Murder Strikes Again:
Two as of yet unidentified bodies, one male the other female, were found stripped, mutilated, and in the case of the woman sexually assaulted, in a wooded area off of Interstate 95 just outside of Philadelphia early Saturday morning.
